On Saturday night, November 30th, a lot of young boxing talent will be featured as former two-weight world champion Danny “Swift” Garcia’s company Swift Promotions presents Tale Of Garcia 4, a boxing event that is set to take place at the ACX1 Studios in Atlantic City, New Jersey, and stream live on DMDb.com.
The Philadelphia native Danny Garcia launched Swift Promotions back in June 2024. Garcia’s company intends to provide a platform to showcase the top young talent in the fight game. On the night of November 30th, three high-profile rookies from Mayweather Promotions will be in action.
Approximately four months ago, lightweight rookie Jursly Vargas posted training footage that became a main topic of discussion on social media. Due to similarities in hairstyle, back tattoo, and physique, fight fans thought the person in the video was WBA lightweight world champion Gervonta “Tank” Davis.
A native of Curacao who also spent some of his upbringing in Rotterdam, Netherlands, Jursly Vargas made his pro debut in November 2022. In the opening round, Vargas hit his opponent so hard that the punch caused his opponent to do a 180-degree turn.
Vargas landed devastating power shots and scored a highlight reel-style knockout that went viral. A couple of weeks later, Floyd Mayweather reached out to Vargas and a few weeks after that, Vargas signed with Mayweather Promotions.
Since joining Mayweather Promotions, the 20-year-old Jursly “The Gorilla” Vargas has collected two additional wins. Vargas is an aggressive boxer who likes to press forward and dictate the pace of the fight. On the night of Tale Of Garcia 4, Vargas plans on posting another impressive victory.
One of Vargas’s stablemates who will also be in action is the multi-talented Canadian boxer Joseph “The Prodigy” Brown. Brown posted an overall record of (67-0) as an amateur in combat sports. He has won multiple national championships in boxing and a world championship in Muay Thai.
The 6’2″ Joseph Brown (3-0, 3 KOs) is a well-rounded boxer who is poise, knows how to control the distance, and has good punch placement and punching power. The 18-year-old junior middleweight wants to be the best, and the first stage of working towards his goal will continue on November 30th.
Last but not least, we have Mayweather Promotions rookie sensation Curmel “Big Deal” Moton. At the age of 17, Curmel Moton made his highly anticipated pro debut on the Canelo Alvarez vs. Jermell Charlo undercard in September 2023, stopping his opponent in the first round.
Moton is a boxer who has all the tools. He has speed, punching power, and ring intelligence. He executes well as a pressure fighter and can transition into a counter-puncher.
Even though he is only 18, super-featherweight rookie Curmel Moton (6-0, 5 KOs) could be the next young boxer to get placed on the fast track.
On the night of November 30th, Swift Promotions Tale Of Garcia 4 will feature the rookie trio from Mayweather Promotions. Curmel Moton, Joseph Brown, and Jursly Vargas are high-profile rookies destined to become future world champions.
